The only thing missing is Martha Quinn introducing it on MTV.

If you grew up in the eighties or are just a fan of movies like The Breakfast Club and Sixteen Candles, you’ve got to check out the latest video from Christian Lopez for his song Say Goodbye.

The video centers around a crazy high school house party with Christian playing a bunch of parts, from the A/V club nerd to the varsity-jacket wearing jock. But his main role is of, well, himself – the lead singer of the band playing at the party.

From flashbacks we see that Christian has recently broken up with his girlfriend, played by his real life girlfriend, actress Skyler Shaye. Skyler’s character – Molly Rose, dubbed ‘The Heartbreaker (with regrets)’ – seems ready to get back together, but in the end it’s pretty clear that’s just not going to happen.

The video includes kids from Christian’s hometown of Martinsburg, West Virginia and was directed by Director Steve (Old Dominion’s No Such Thing As a Broken Heart).

Say Goodbye is from Christian’s second album, Red Arrow. When we spoke with him last fall prior to his performance in Connecticut he described the track as “Cheap Trick meets Rick Springfield” – click here to check out the full interview.
