Brothers Osborne and Lanco joined Dierks Bentley at New York City's Madison Square Garden on the Mountain High Tour.
Fresh off a trip to Colorado for his inaugural Seven Peaks Music Festival, Dierks Bentley stopped in New York City for one of the biggest shows of his career: headlining Madison Square Garden. And he sold the place out.
Bentley’s Mountain High Tour follows the release of his ninth studio album, The Mountain (Capitol Records Nashville). Bentley co-wrote ten of the thirteen tracks and it became his seventh chart-topping album.

With 17 number one hit singles Dierks sure has plenty of material to ensure an amazing show. His set in New York featured lots of crowd favorites including I Hold On, Somewhere on a Beach, Riser and What Was I Thinkin’. Bentley also performed tracks off his latest album including Woman, Amen, The Mountain, Living and even brought out openers John and TJ Osborne for a special performance of Burning Man. He ended the show with Drunk On A Plane and a new version of Dude Air made an appearance, with Bentley taking flight over the stage.

Midway through his set Dierks took a moment to thank the New York crowd that had been so supportive over the years:
“This has been a long time comin’. The first time I played here was BB King’s in 2004. That only holds like a hundred people so I know you guys were all there. Then we came back and played Nokia Theater in 2005. We played the Bowery, we played Irving Plaza, we played Hammerstein, we played the Beacon, we played City Winery, we played Joe’s Pub. We played some places in Brooklyn just to make sure we crossed off all of them…every step on the way to the biggest honky tonk in the world – Madison Square Garden! [fist pumping] Yeah!”

Announcing the tour earlier this year Bentley said in a press release, “I’ve been friends with TJ and John for a long time and I have loved watching their career explode. I’m just getting to know the boys in LANCO, but I love their music and the energy they bring to the stage. And after seeing them and the Bros party down at the grand opening of my new bar on Lower Broadway last week, I can tell you it’s gonna be game on this summer!”
It was definitely game on at The Garden, with Dierks, Brothers Osborne and LANCO giving the New York City crowd one of the best shows of the year.

I had the chance to meet up with the guys from Lanco before the show. They were all super nice and were definitely stoked for such a bucket list kind of event that night. I obviously did not get the memo on what shoes to wear, though in fairness, no one told Jared it was black jeans day either.
